The Google Chrome notebooks are not available for the general public. The pilot Chrome notebooks have been shipped to a select few for beta testing. The Google Chrome Store is up and running. Those who use the Google Chrome web browser on their Macs or PCs can run most of the Google Chrome applications or extensions on their existing computers.
So far my favorite Chrome application is CRACKLE. CRACKLE is a free movie channel on the internet with lots of interesting movies to watch. For those that are signed up on Netflix; there is a Netflix application and it works great.
The Google Chrome notebook will have no hard drive as it is pure cloud computing. It is a notebook for those that live on the internet as it cannot operate without an connection to it.
For Christians there is few Chrome applications that I have found so far except: Hymnal.Net, Scriply, ESV Bible Online, Desiring God, Crossway, and Bible.is. I am sure that more applications will be coming for Google Chrome.
For tweeting there is the following Chrome applications: Seesmic, Twitter, TweetDeck, and HootSuite.
Internet newspapers having a Chrome applicaiton include: New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Huffington Post, and Salon.

The lighthouse at South Haven Michigan as seen from the deck of the tall ship named "Friends Good Will".
Friends Good Will
This is a replica of a sailing ship that served both the USA and Great Britain during the War of 1812. The British burned the original ship ending its role in the fighting.

Rich Warren is Watching
Rather silly ad but I prefer to be watched by Rick Warren rather than Robert Morey or the Christian Research Network gang of self-righteous watchbloggers. Not as silly of an ad as a PirateChristian ad.

Cable Airport Beacon - Upland CA
Desiring something new, I went to eat breakfast at Manic Mike's Cafe at Cable Airport in Upland, California. I heard that the food is very good and one has a view of planes landing and taking off. The cafe lived up to the good reports I had heard of it.
This is the beacon at Cable Airport which is very visible at night.

LA Live Steamers - Union Pacific
Los Angeles Live Steamers are located in Griffin Park in Los Angeles California next to Travel Town. Riding on their trains is a lot of fun and highly recommended by me.
Travel Town Train
This is the train that kids of all ages can ride at Travel Town in Griffin Park which is located in Los Angeles, California. The trains next door at Los Angeles Live Steamers are more fun to ride.

High Class Portable Johns
Nothing but the best for the graduation event at Ponoma College. Even astoturf as sort of a green carpet to stand on while waiting.
Red Raspberries
I purchased some red raspberries at the Claremont Farmer's Market today and very much enjoyed eating them.

San Bernardino Museum
The Bangor Michigan train depot had a very similar office as did all train stations. This photo taken at the San Bernardino Museum inside the San Bernardino Santa Fe Depot.
San Bernardino Museum
Reminds me of my childhood when I traveled with my dad down to Bangor Michigan. My dad transfered the mail bag from the Bangor Post Office to the C&O passenger train mail rail car. It was not abnormal for me to get a Chessie button from a conductor. Typically the train was late so there was time to kill waiting for the train to show up. The Bangor train depot had similar baggage wagons.
Pacific Jazz Quartet
Typically I hang out in "College Center" on Sunday between 2 to 5 PM so that I can listen to live Jazz music. During the summer months there is lots of live free music in the Village of Claremont but only the Jazz series at College Center is year around.
Fruizen in College Center
A favorite place for me to eat ice cream is Fruizen in College Center. It is at the corner of Foothill and Claremont Blvd in Claremont, CA.

One thing that Orange has that Claremont, CA lacks is a traffic circle. It is a main landmark of Orange California with a nice park in the middle of the traffic circle. Yes, it was Christmas time when this photo was taken.
Orange CA
Orange California has a very nice looking downtown. Sort of like Claremont, California but it is in Orange County not Los Angeles County. Claremont is a college town and Orange is more a typical small California town. I like both small towns but I live in Claremont not Orange.
Pere Marquette 1223 @ Grand Haven MI
If it looks like the steam engine in the movie "Polar Express" it is because it's sister Pere Marquette 1225 was the one that the movie used for the role.
Grand Haven Michigan Lighthouse
This is the lighthouse at Grand Haven Michigan. It looks a lot like the lighthouse at South Haven and Muskegon. The South Haven lighthouse is the shortest of the three lighthouses.

A very interesting and worthwhile museum to go to is the "Petterson Museum of Intercultural Art" located in Pilgrim Place. The address for the museum is 730 Plymouth Road, Claremont, CA 91711.
Santa Fe 3751
Some time ago I noted a steam locomotive in the Amtrak yard near Union Station in Los Angeles, California. It can be clearly seen from Amtrak Surfliners headed southbound toward San Diego, California. It was not until recently that I found out this was Santa Fe 3751.
